Introduction
The North Pool group of tenements are located 25km northwest of Wiluna, and 10km north of the Wiluna-Meekatharra road east of Mt Russell accessed by disused station tracks.  The two Exploration Licences of the project area lie to the northeast of Mt Bartle on the eastern portion of the Glengarry 1:250,000 map sheet (SG50-12), and on the published 1:100,000 Mount Bartle and Merewether geological sheets (2845 and 2844 respectively).

Results and Proposed Program
Results to date show parallel structures to those within the Archaean basement at Mt Bartle. Four gossans were mapped and sampled by Samantha in 1977 (Jessup A 1997). A northwest southeast trending 600 metre gossan with anomalous Pb Zn Cu was sampled in 1986 by Denis O’Meara. The area was subjected to intense weathering and laterisation of felsic volcanics with hydrothermal pyrite base metal alteration. The target sedimentary-exhalative (SEDEX) and VMS base metal sulphide deposits may exist beneath or in close proximity to the surface exposures of known widespread surface mineralisation in the felsic volcanics.  Surface sampling results returned up to 2950ppm Zn, 760ppm Pb, 2000ppm Cu (Figure 8).In this intensively weathered sub-surface regolith the surface levels of base metals are regarded as highly significant for the presence of a mineralising volcanogenic system of considerable extent.  Previous exploration has been concentrated on shear hosted vein style gold deposits and has not considered other geological environments such as VMS and SEDEX models of deposition.
